Christmas is over in a flash and 2011 is almost here!

Wow! Thanksgiving and Christmas went by so quick! Tomorrow is New Year's Eve! 2011 here you come! Rylee will be 10 months old on the 9th of January. Wow she will be 1 yrs old before I know it. Rylee had a wonderful Christmas and got lots of toys and clothes. :) She is crawling now started at the first of this month and gets into everything. :) The little rugrat! ha! She is starting to pull herself up and wants to walk so bad! Rylee is social! She loves to go places and loves to be held and for anyone to give her attention. She's not shy at all and will let anyone hold her. She weighs 16 lbs or so. I will be taking her to the doctor to soon for her 9 month shots. She still has not been sick. Thankgoodness! She's had a runny nose once and thats all. She a very blessed baby. :) My mom is coming over to stay the night at our house tonite and stay till Saturday thru New Years. :) Within the last 3 weeks I had my dad and stepmom Janet stay a few days and now my mom and stepdad Brad are staying a few days. So been very busy. I always seem to stay busy with working part time and taking care of Rylee to everything else. I guess thats what makes time go so fast. Rylee has her two bottom teeth in and her two front teeth are coming in as well. Her right front tooth is in and the other front tooth is still coming in. She is such a joy to be around. She lights up my life each day!!! Happy New Year everyone!!!!!

The busy mom

Hello!!! My sister came in town last week and stayed with us for several days and we had a great time!! So nice to see her when she comes in town. We got pedi's and had lots of fun. Today she came back from my mom's house and I took her to the airport back to her travels of the world. :) She's a flight attendant for a private jet so gets to go to Europe a lot and see amazing places. My hours at work have been cut back which I don't mind at all because I feel that your time is precious with your children. I try to enjoy all my time with her knowing that one day she will grow up on me. So I only work 3 days a week now. So Rylee and me have lots of fun together. I took her to her 6 month checkup and she got 3 shots and she weighs 15lbs even. The doctor told me I need to feed her more. haha! I have only been giving her baby food once a day and my doctor says I need to two or three times a day. So I have been feeding her more now. She is just talking away and will imitate what you saying. Like for instance Mark will laugh at her and she will laugh back or try to copy what noise you are making. Its so cute! She has been sleeping thru the night again for almost a week now so that's wonderful! She has got her two bottom teeth in and you think she would be fussy but hasn't been fussy at all. So is getting alot longer now. She can say Mama when she cries really hard or is upset. She is in that attached phase so whenever I walk in the room and she sees me she cries and wants me to come hold her. Mark and I have our 4yr anniversary next Thursday so will probably just go to dinner or something. Can't wait for Halloween so I dress Rylee up for her first Halloween! :) Well everyone have a wonderful blessed day!

September I love the fall!

Yay!!! September is here and I really enjoy the fall! This month Mark and I will be married 4 yrs on the 30Th. Marriage is wonderful and its nice to have someone there everyday to wake up to. :) It has its challenges but nothing that you can't work through. Having Rylee this past year has definitely changed our lives and actually brought us closer together. She is 6 months today and is such a joy to be around. She lights up our life each day. She is a rolly polly right now rolling everywhere and even is starting to scoot herself. So hopefully she will be crawling soon. She can sit up for about 10 seconds or so then falls over. But should start sitting up by herself any day now. Mark and I both walked at 9 months so we will see how she does. I have been just working part time still and the other time I am a housewife. So I am really enjoying my schedule and spending time with Rylee. I am doing well with exercising since Rylee has been born. I have been working out with trainer once a week and work out once on my own. So I have been maintaining my weight well. If only I could eat better then I would probably lose more weight. My sister comes in town on Monday from LA so excited to see her. My mom and step dad recently moved to Wichita Falls to open their art gallery. So I may go visit them in a week or so. I am getting so excited for the holidays! I guess having Rylee this year will make it more entertaining. :) Well hope everyone has a blessed day!

August

Wow, I didn't realize its been a month since I blogged last. Things have been busy and it seems like we always have something going on. Summer came and passed so quickly. Rylee is 5 months old now and can turn over and will not stay on her belly she just rolls back over. ha! She likes to smile all the time and squeal and make noises. She even like to growl like she is darthvader. haha! Its so funny. She found her toes and feet and is always chewing on them and holding them now. She eats oatmeal and fruit once a day and just started eating veggies once a day too. She does really well with her eating. She goes to bed now at 7 or 8 pm and sleeps till 5 or 6am. So does great and sometimes sleeps later. She even takes two long naps during the day now. She is a real happy baby and as long as you talk to her she is happy. Before long I am going to have to baby proof my house and get the gates and everything. She can almost sit up by herself so maybe another week or two and she will be able to. :)I just had my 29th bday about a week ago and Mark got me a new car 2008 Jetta! Its four door so that works much better with Rylee getting her in and out. I have just been working part time at the Country Club and spending lots of my time with Rylee and doing different activities on the weekends. Mark and I will celebrate our 4 yr wedding anniversary next month and are managing well with Rylee around. Still trying to lose another 15 lbs and its getting harder to continue to eat well. I've been working out with my trainer still once a week sometimes twice and really need to try to get to the gym in between. Well this has been a very hot summer with 19 days at 100 degrees in a row. Rylee's first day in a swimming pool!!! :)

So yesterday we went to one of my best friends house and Rylee got to swim in her pool for the first time. She looked so adorable in her little swimsuit and hat. :) Wish I would of taken pictures but forgot. :( She kicked her legs alot and just seemed real chill in the pool. She even started to fall asleep a little. She lasted like 30 or 45 minutes and then started crying because she was hungry. haha! But she did well. I'm proud of her. She is 4 1/2 months old now and time is just flying by so fast. She just starting growling last week and likes to growl all the time. Its the funniest thing. She sounds like a little darthvader or something. Then when we laugh at her she laughs back. First thing in the morning when I go to pick her up she is growling at me its so funny! She also just laughs all the time and giggles. She will be in the room by herself and just be laughing or giggling. I guess she can amuse herself now. She goes to the doctor this Friday to get her shots. So that will not be fun. Last time she got shots she cried a lot later that evening and I had to give her medicine and that put her right to sleep. Poor baby. Well just working part time and working out with my personal trainer alot. I have lost almost 40 lbs now since Rylee was born and only have 10 more pounds until I get to my goal. 20 pounds would be even better. Then I would be down to the weight I weighed at my wedding almost four years ago. :) My body is getting really strong now its so awesome!!! :) Well my bday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I will be 29! My last year in my twenties. I am still loving being a mother and taking care of my daughter. I am just so happy to finally have my own daughter. Sometimes I look at her and get tears because I am so happy to have a baby of my own. :) I know that sounds cheesy. Well I gotta get home soon gotta get up at 5am tomorrow to go to work. Wow July is around the corner

Sorry I haven't wrote in almost a month. I only get on this blog at work and I only work two days a week now. But Rylee has been keeping me plenty busy. She is doing wonderful and still hasn't been sick yet and she's almost 4 months old. :) She is talking and talking haha! Right now she is holding toys now and loves to chew on anything she can find toys, her outfits, bibs, fingers. haha! I think she is teething now because she tends to slober alot. It seems lately we are always needing to find something to entertain her time. She gets mad if you try to lay her down when she wants to sit up and be a big girl. I started feeding her oatmeal rice cereal last week and she really likes it. I put a little fruit in it too and maybe thats why she enjoys so much. Her sleep schedule differs alot lately this month. She usually wakes up once a night and once and twice a week she will sleep thru the night. I have been working out alot and working with a personal trainer twice a week and eating healthy so I have been sliming down nicely. I have lost around 35 lbs so far since Rylee's birth. Well July 4th is coming up and we don't have any plans. :( I wanted to go to my dads house in Houston but Mark's on call for his job so we have to stay in town. :( So who knows what we will do. I think I am going to cook a brisket and invite some friends over. Well hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of july and have a blessed day!!

One more week till Memorials Day! :)

Rylee Michelle will be 11 weeks tomorrow. Wow how time flies. I can't believe she is almost 3 months old already. She is doing wonderful! She weighs 11.5 lbs now and is growing alot. We just recently moved her to her crib in the nursery from the bassinet in our room. She has been sleeping thru the night regularly. She usually goes to be between 9:45pm and 11pm and will sleep till 5 or 6am. She is still on breastmilk and drinks apple juice and half water occassionally. She just started talking alot and making cooing sounds about a week or two ago. Its so cute its like a baby lanuage. haha! She also loves to smile and laugh. She will even wake up now and not cry and will just lay in her crib and talk and make noises and entertain herself till we come to get her. lol I am still deciding if I want to take her to get all her 2 month vacinations. I just think that 2 months is too young to be giving her 6 shots of vacinations that really she could wait and get when she's a little older. They still don't know why so many kids now in our generation are artistic and I don't want to give her anything that would affect her. So whats the point in vacinating so young. I will probably vacinate when she is a one yr or older. I think her brain is too little right to take all that. But thats just my opinion. Better safe than sorry. Well Memorials Day is next Monday and Mark's 30th bday is the Sunday before. We are going to go the country house for two days and fish and relax. So it will be Rylee's first trip to the country. :) Well all have a blessed week!!!!!

The day before Mothers Day!

Hello!!! Well I am still enjoying motherhood! I guess I am getting used to it because I don't seem to be as sleepy anymore. She is also sleeping thru the night mostly. She usually sleeps thru the night 5 out of the 7 days. So that helps a bunch. Rylee is 8 weeks old now almost 9 weeks. Time is going by so fast. I can't believe she's already 2 months old. She started smiling a week or two ago and laughs and its so cute!! She will even follow u around with her eyes when u walk around the room. My husband is sick right now he has a sore throat we thought it was strep but found out at the doctor that its not luckily. So its kinda a bummer right before mothers day. :( Today I went to a Mothers Day Tea at my mother in law Pattie's church and tomorrow we are going to my mom's house for lunch. So it has been a nice weekend. I started back work on thursday. So I will be working thursdays and fridays now just 4 hrs a day. So I have been staying very busy. Having a baby I stay so busy all the time it seems like I have never have enough time in the day. Happy Mothers day everyone!! So excited because it is my first mothers day! :) Have a blessed day!

6 weeks

Wow!!! Rylee is already 6 weeks!! She is 10 lbs already!! She is doing really well. She loves to sit up and look at everything! She is so observant! She is even starting to loose some of her hair in front. :( But I guess its normal for them to loose their hair after they are born. I really enjoy being a mom and staying home with Rylee. I will go back to work soon which will be good because it will be nice to get out of the house again. Its only part time though so I won't be away from Rylee too long. Can u believe its already April

Wow, sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. Since my maternity leave from work I rarely get on the computer anymore since I don't have Internet at home. Well Rylee Michelle came 3 days before her due date on Tuesday March 9, 2010. My water broke early that morning at 3:30am in the morning. So I got up took a shower and starting cleaning my house. Haha! I know it sounds funny but I had a home birth so I had lots of people coming over. I started having contractions around six or seven am. Then by 8am my mom and sister arrived. Then my midwife arrived around 10 or 11am. By 11:30 I was dilated to a four. Then dilated to a 10 by 1:30pm. So by 1:30 I was like wow I'm already fully dilated that was fast. So I was so excited that she would be out soon. But then I kept pushing and pushing and a few hours went by and still no Rylee. :( I was starting to get tired and was tired of pushing already. Then they said they could see her hair so that she's right there. She wasn't crowning yet though. So I kept pushing and pushing. Then by 5:30pm we decided that she just wasn't going to come out. 4 hrs of pushing is alot and boy was I exhausted by this time. So I got in the car and we rushed to the hospital. By 6pm or so I was in my room at the hospital and the doctor said yeah she's not going to come out because she is not coming out of your pelvis right and her head is back instead of being down. So we are going to have to do an emergency C-section. I was so happy to hear this because I could not push any more. By this time I was having contractions like every minute or sooner. So I went to the operating room still contracting the whole time even though they gave me medicine to stop them they didn't stop or the pain didn't go away. The anesthesiologist was trying to give me an epidural and I was still contracting. Then 20 minutes later she was born at 7:14pm. Thankgodness everything went smoothly and she was healthy and finally out. :)She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and her length was 20 1/2 inches long. She is now 5 weeks old tomorrow and doing wonderful. She probably weighs around 9lbs or so. She slept thru the night yesterday for the first time Yay!!! She has been holding her head up since the first week and now likes to sit up as long as you hold her and she looks around everywhere. She is so observant and loves to just look at things. In one month she acts so big I can't believe she is only one month old. Being a mother is wonderful and I just love being home with her everyday. I healed very nicely and within a week or so I was back to my old self. In two weeks I was only 7lbs away from my start weight. I am going back to work in May just a few days a week part time. So I am excited about that to be getting out of the house more. Pattie my mother in law is going to be watching her while I work. She just lives around the block from me so its really nice. 38 weeks along today!! Yay!!

Well can you believe I am two weeks away from Rylee's due date. Wow how time flies. I have been so blessed and have had a wonderful pregnancy and smooth with no problems. Lets just hope the labor will be that smooth. ;) I am 38 weeks today so two weeks till the due date date. My guess is that she will come early the week of her due date. If she comes a week late then she could have her bday on St. Patricks day. I don't really care when as long as she is healthy. The longer she stays in the more rest I get. :) Tomorrow is my last day of work so I'm so happy about that. So I will be able to sleep in again until she comes. 5am comes so early each morning but I guess it preps me for when I need to wake for Rylee. :) Yesterday my dad and stepmom Janet came to visit which was wonderful. I have not seen my dad since his stepson Jeff's wedding in November so 3 1/2 months. They took me to lunch when I got off work and then spent the whole day with them which was so nice and they stayed the night and are leaving today. :( Last night I had my midwife appointment and everything was normal and even my ankles are better and not swollen anymore and I don't have any pitting edema either. :) So now I am just waiting for Rylee to come. I will have another midwife appointment in 5 days. Well today I work 6am-10am and then home to see my dad before he leaves back to Houston. Then meeting at work from 4:30pm-5:30pm and then off to Mark's brother's house to have a cookout and family night with Mark's brothers and cousins. Should be fun since we have not seen his cousins since Christmas. And somewhere during the day I am going to try to cook some bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed jalenpenos to take to the cookout. So its going to be a busy day. Then tomorrow I work 1p-5pm so I will be busy the next few days. Well till next time. Hopefully next time we will be closer to Rylee's labor. Valentines' Day is over :(

Well it has been a very busy and snowy week. We got 12.5 inches of snow here in Dallas/Fort Worth area and broke many records. The most we usually ever see is 1/2 inches that melts very soon after and usually doesn't stick. Not this snow it was nice and thick and beautiful!! I felt like I was in Colorado or something. It actually snowed last Thursday and we still have some in some areas and its Monday now. What a wonderful gift for Valentines' Day! It was nice until we lost power Thursday night and didn't get it back on until Saturday afternoon. So we stayed the night at his grandmother's house for one nite and came home to pack our bags for another night and luckily it was back on in time for Valentines' Day. :) Well I am 36weeks along now!! Which is 9 months so exactly one month to go!! Whoooo-hoooo!! So excited that time has gone by so fast. Seriously I could so do this again a few times. Being pregnant was so easy and you get to eat alot and people don't yell at you. :) haha! I haven't weighed myself lately but I am probably gained around 30-35 pounds. I will weigh in tomorrow and know for sure at my midwife appointment. I have been feeling pretty great and my energy level is up alot. Feet are swollen a little and have plus 1 edema in ankles. But other than that I just feel like I have a watermelon in my belly haha! Rylee Michelle like to get the hiccups once a day usually and moves the most in the afternoons. We like to play with her and when she kicks me or pokes me we push back harder and she pushes back again. Mark likes to play that game with her. So cute!! Well we are getting more and more prepared for her to be here. Her nursery is complete. Besides hanging her name on the wall and putting her new mobile up and chandelier. Still a few things that are on the list that we need and a few things to exchange. Need to find a pediatrician still but have a few that are referred to me from Baylor. Need to start getting everything on my birthing kit list so if she decides to come early we will be ready for her. I want to get another ultra sound so I see how big she is and make sure everything is right on track. Also wanting to sign up for a breastfeeding class at Baylor Hospital that they offer for those who have taken their child birth Lamaze class. Mark for Valentines Day got me a angel necklace with Rylee's birthstone in the middle of it and a mini heart shaped cookie cake. :)Then he took me to dinner at Outback Steakhouse and I got steak and shrimp. Yum!!! Then came back home to watch the movie Couples Retreat. So it has been a very long week of snowy weather and power outages. So glad everything is getting back to normal. I am working two more weeks and then I will have off two weeks before Rylee's due date to get things in order and rest. Maybe she will come early for me during that time. Its Monday again....;)

Well Rylee and me had a fabulous weekend!! It was so great to see my mom's family and some friends that I haven't seen in awhile. :) Had my 2nd baby shower at my mom's house and it was nice. My best friend Misty, my mom, and Abbie threw it for me. My poor sister in law Abbie was unable to come though because all her kids and her came down with the stomach bug. :( We got lots of nice things for Rylee and the nursery. Only 4 more weeks and she will be at full term. :) I'm hoping she will come a little early. For my body's sake haha! We graduated from our Lamaze Parenting Class last Thursday and got to tour Baylor Hospital in Irving. That is where I will have her if I need to have an emergency c-section or unable to have her at home which only 3 exits down less than 5 minutes away from our house. Hopefully we won't have to have her there and will be able to have her natural at home. :) So keep us in your prayers for a smooth normal natural delivery. We are hoping I will be like my mother and have easy quick labors. Well I am starting to get very nervous about the labor since its getting closer and afraid I won't know how to do it right or that she won't want to come out like how Mark was. His mother was in labor for 20 hrs with him and he wouldn't come out. But his mother was a very petite small woman so maybe because he weighed 8lbs 9 oz he was too big for her frame. So she had to have a c-section. But it normally takes after my mom's side. Thank goodnesss. Well its Monday again and I hope this week goes very smooth. Everyone have a fabulous week!! Its FEBRUARY

Well February is finally here. Wow only 1 more month to go till Rylee Michelle will be here. Time is a flying. :) This Friday three more days and I will be 35 weeks along. Wow!! Only 5 more weeks until she will be full term. :) We are getting so excited!! Her dresser/changing table came in at the store yesterday and so Mark is going to pick it up today for me. Can't wait to get it set up. That's the last of her nursery furniture. Yay!!! We have our second baby shower this Saturday at my mom's house. My sister in law Abbie and best friend Misty are throwing it for me. :) Can't wait to see all my mom's family and close friends. Rylee already has tons of things but can't wait to see what else she gets. Are parents and friends have been so kind and have gotten us everything so far so we feel really blessed. We will be finishing up our Lamaze class at Baylor Hospital on Thursday. So we get to have a tour of the maternity dept. Can't wait for that. Then the following week they have a breastfeeding class that they offer. I have gained 29 lbs so far and starting to feel huge. Maybe I should just start walking backwards so i look skinnier. hahah! Rylee has been kicking me and moving like crazy lately. Probably because she is 5lbs now and doesn't have as much room to move around. She started kicking me in the ribs up high now and she makes it uncomfortable at times. My ankles are starting to get swollen some probably because all the extra weight I carry. I am still working Monday thru Friday 6am to 10am. So that keeps me busy and gets me out of the house. Last week my boss was out of town so I got work 8 hrs for 3 days so I got some extra hours in. But I am glad to be back to the shorter hours. I guess it does take a toll on you when you are 8 1/2 months prego. haha!! I just found out that one my best friends is prego and her baby will be 7 months younger than Rylee!!! So excited about that. We went to lunch yesterday and celebrated her birthday at this amazing lil Italian restaurant. Well I am about to get off work soon so I have to go. But will update you after the baby shower. What a great weekend!

Well I had a wonderful weekend. Friday Mark and I got our new nursery baby furniture for Rylee's room. The crib we were able to take home and put up and the dresser/changing table will be here 7-14 days later. We had to order it and the conversion rails for the crib so it can turn into a full size bed later. :) So excited. So we have Rylee's room all set up and it looks so cute!! Then Saturday we had our 1st baby shower at Pattie's house and I got so many wonderful things and now Rylee's room has so many cute things in it. I can't wait for Mark to set up the pack n play so we can put it in our room and also set up the high chair. We even put a wooden rocker glider in the nursery. I love to sit on it and look at her room. :)We have been so blessed. We are getting so excited for our lil Rylee Michelle to be here and I can't wait to hold her. I have 7 more weeks and I hope it goes fast. We also have another baby shower in two weeks so can't wait to see my mom's family and friends at that one. Well I am working a lot this week and going to just take it easy. Hope all have a wonderful week!!!

33 weeks along 8 months

Rylee and me are 33 weeks along today which is in my 8Th month. Time is just flying by. We saw the midwife this week on Tuesday and Rylee is very active and laying transverse sideways in my tummy. haha! I think she is very much like Mark. Midwife said I have a urinary tract infection so to drink lots of water and take cranberry pills and if doesn't get better see the doctor. I have gained 28lbs now all belly. haha! Rylee is getting the hiccups regularly and about 3 or 4 times a day she kicks me really hard whenever I put things on my belly. She doesn't like anything in her space. Also like Mark. Well Wednesday we started getting a sore throat and getting really congested so we scheduled a doctors appointment yesterday and got tests taken to see if its strep or if I still have urinary tract infection. So should find out the results soon. I did get some antibiotics which are making me feel much better. My first baby shower is this weekend so I want to be feeling great and enjoy it. We had Lamaze class last night again and really enjoyed it. We practiced our breathing a lot and Mark is being a really good coach. He made it thru the birth video and just made some funny faces. haha! I think he is going to be a wonderful dad. :) Today Mark & I are going to look for baby furniture. The original furniture I wanted you have to order it which takes 9-12 weeks so too long. So we are going to go find something that is available now. Tomorrow is the baby shower and I can't wait to get things setup for Rylee. The nursery is only missing the furniture and a new daybed comforter. Mark even put up an brown antique chandelier which looks so good. Then we are going to put a little white chandelier above her crib. This really dresses up the nursery. :) Well we nesting away. Rise and Shine 2010

Well this morning 5am Rylee decided to wake me up instead of me waking her up. haha! The joys of having your unborn child kick you bright and early. Usually she doesn't wake until after I get moving around. But not this morning. :) It is such a cool feeling to feel your child move inside of you. I just love it!! :) Motherhood is so wonderful and I can't wait until little Rylee Michelle is here. 4 more days and I will be 28 weeks along which is the start of my 8th month. So two more months 8 weeks to go! I can't wait to hold my little girl. :) I have actually lost 3 lbs since last Tuesday which is good I guess. I was at 27lbs at my last midwife appointment and now I have only gained 24lbs. :) Not that I am trying to lose weight but it is nice when i do lose weight because I have been eating so bad since being prego. Maybe its because I have been eating smaller portions. I just don't want to have too much weight stick on me. Mark tells me to quit worrying. Well gotta love mondays. Have a blessed week. :)
